Paper scrip coupons and gift certificates, as a method of payment, will be deducted from eScrip qualified purchases. If change is returned when using paper scrip or gift certificates a negative contribution deduction may appear on your eScrip statement. Please be aware that negative contributions will be avoided if you do not use paper scrip and gift certificates in conjunction with eScrip. Payment in the form of cash, check or credit card accepted with club card.

Contributions
Genuardi's Club Card
1% On Monthly Purchases Between $0 - $400
Plus 2% On Monthly Purchases Between $400 - $600
Plus 3% On Monthly Purchases Between $600 - $750 Here's how it works: If your monthly purchases totaled $650, your donation earned would be $9.50.
$400 x 1% + $200 x 2% + $50 x 3% = $9.50

Exclusions
Exclude purchases of Alcohol, Tobacco, Fluid Dairy Products (CA and NV only), Online Shopping, US Postage Stamps, Lottery Tickets, Gift Certificates/Gift Cards, Commuter Passes, Amusement Park Passes, Money Orders, Gasoline Purchases, CRV (California Redemption Value), that portion of a Pharmacy prescription not paid for by the customer, Safeway Club Savings, Safeway Store Coupons, and Sales Tax. Payment in the form of cash, check or credit card accepted with club card. Present your registered SAFEWAY CLUB (available at participating stores) when making your purchase. Use of your registered club card is required at checkout to automatically track your purchase and contributions to your organization.

Safeway will dedicate over $25 Million annually for youth education in the communities we serve. Should contributions exceed the contribution goal, a supporters contribution may be adjusted accordingly.
